L’Hermitage is a small castle on the outskirts of the

town Civray, between Paris and Bordeaux. In the south of

the county "de la Vienne", at the banks of the Charente.

We have 2 Bed & Breakfast rooms () and an independant,

self-catering, south wing holiday appartment.

At l'Hermitage, you can use our swimmingpool in the garden, or make a walk through our wood with ancient trees. Use the sauna and hammam, or play a game of table tennis.

The river Charente is just in front of the property, you may go fishing with a "special holiday" licence, or maybe you like to take a walk along the Charente over the many islands, which track is also perfect for jogging.

The church Saint-Nicolas is a very nice piece of roman art. The market, which is held 2 times a week, is great place to discover the products of the region. Civray has very nice restaurants where you can enjoy the French kitchen as well as special dishes of the region.

Your car can stay at l'Hermitage : shops and restaurants are less than half a mile away.
